Elegant Halloween Party

With Halloween right around the corner, planning Fall and Halloween parties is a fun way to celebrate the season. While some of the cheesier ghosts and jack-o-lantern decorations are cute and hold nostalgic value, it might be fun to change the pace a bit and have an elegant Halloween party.

When starting to design a party, coming up with the color scheme is a must. For mine, I chose I burnt orange, metallic gold, black, and dark red. These color’s scream Fall while also combining to create a classy Halloween theme.

The décor for this party should remain classy while gently bringing in Fall and Halloween aesthetics. Some gold candelabras with crème and white candles pair well with the orange and white pumpkins and the orange pumpkin scented candle.

The food served at the party should be equally delicious and beautiful. Having food that compliments the color scheme adds that extra layer of cohesion to the party as a whole. Food can act as another part of the décor, while also being tasty treats for the guests.

A charcuterie board is the party food of the season. Its easy to eat, and there’s an option for everyone. Tasty, cured meat paired with seasonal fruits and jams arranged in an artful way create not only a charming centerpiece, but also delicious food.

For the desert, a play on candied apples adds that Halloween nostalgia that everyone loves, but with a new twist. These candied apples (in this color often titled poison apples) add a dark hue that is enticing to the table set up.

Lastly, for the drink, a way to make it showstopping is add dry ice to the drink (safely of course). This makes the drink have a continuous flow of fog coming overflowing. This can be added to any drink to create this fun effect.

Having a gorgeous and elegant Halloween party can be a refreshing event during this season full of exams and busy times. Having a theme that matches throughout the décor and the food creates an atmosphere that makes it an unforgettable party.
