How would you describe your style in your own words?
I would say my style comes from my dream high-fashion looks, just dulled down to a more affordable and functional way that doesn’t make it look like I’m trying too hard.
Where do you get your fashion inspiration from?
My fashion inspiration mainly comes from my imagination as an artist, as well as implementing styling tips and ideas from some of my favorite fashionable people, such as Justin Livingston, Micah Gianneli, and Beyoncé always. Those peeps have got it going on!
What are your favorite stores to shop at?
My favorite stores to shop at are the ones that have things I like. So profound, right? But for real, I could go from Ross to Steve Madden to Dior and find at least a couple things I can’t live without at each one.
What is your favorite clothing item?
My black suede snake print boots from Steve Madden. Those babes are a real big staple on my Instagram. @carterbruey
Has your style changed in college?
My style has definitely changed since coming to college. Things start to fit a little better when you walk those miles to class every day. On the down side, some pieces get a little too big to wear anymore. However, that’s when you can justify buying a new pair of shorts or two, and some shoes. Yeah, shoes are always a good choice. And maybe throw in a jacket. Why not!
What advice would you give to someone looking to change up their style?
For anyone looking to change up their style, I would say don’t be nervous because that’s what change is all about, going a little outside what you are used to. Buy those clothes that light that little fire in your heart and burn a little (or big) hole in your wallet. Oh and definitely don’t worry what anyone else will think. How else do you think I got this feature?
