She’s fun, she’s fashionable, and she’s our Editor in Chief! Amanda Seaboch has been a Buttoned team member for four years now, and she’s so excited to finally be this week’s So Hot Right Now!
How would you describe your style?
It’s modern and colorful. If you see something in a store and think to yourself, “that’s weird and bold,” then I would most likely wear it! I try not to take myself too seriously, and I let my style reflect that.
Where is your favorite place to shop?
I’m going to give the typical So Hot Right Now answer and say thrift stores. [Laughs] Other than that, I love Zara, Top Shop, And Other Stories, or anywhere with a petite section.
How has your style changed since freshman year?
Oh gosh… so much! I’m less conscious of what others are wearing around me. I know what I like, and I know what looks good with my shape. I didn’t think like that as a freshman.
What has been your favorite part of being a Buttoned team member?
That’s a really tough question! I don’t think I can condense four years into one answer. Other than the amazing people I’ve had the chance to work with, I would say this year’s Pop Up Shop. I really feel like we accomplished our goal of bringing fashion to the Waco community. I’m still so proud!
What trends are you currently into?
I’m very much into jumpers and rompers. It’s not a new thing per se, but I feel like it’s very much being done in a different way this season. Also I’m experimenting with cheetah print. I’m so glad it’s in style right now!
Who is your style inspiration?
I am in love with everything Marc Jacobs is doing right now. It’s so soft and colorful. I would love the chance to even try on some of his collection!
Do you have any advice for the Buttoned team?
Just have fun! Buttoned was started by some awesome people who just wanted to explore what fashion could look like in the Baylor Bubble. As long as you’re on brand, you’re going to do so well! And I’ll be watching you guys very closely. [Laughs]
