Human Sciences and Design Awards & Exhibition

At Baylor University, the Robbins College Department of Health Sciences and Design houses two unique programs: Apparel Design and Interior Design. Both majors take classes that enable them to develop a deeper understanding of their perspective fields. Several of these classes include Fashion Illustration, Textile Science, Space Planning, Digital Graphics, and Quality Analysis. Along with their classes, an internship is required for both degrees.

At the end of their academic career, design students have the opportunity to develop collections that highlight their expertise. The Department of Health Sciences and Design (HSD) makes it a priority to present all the work that these individuals have spent countless hours preparing.

In late April, Robbins college will host its annual HSD Awards and Exhibition on Baylor’s campus. The collections of seventeen interior design students and seven apparel design students will be showcased at the event. HSD scholarship winners will also be announced and honored.

Mary Gibbs Jones and Goebel are the two buildings where the entire process – from ideation to production – occurs. Baylor University provides its design students with highly advanced technology that they will utilize in their future careers. Thus, the projects prepared here are beyond impressive.

The buttoned team is excited to see the work that the design students have put together and we hope you are too!
